Class Lists

We will soon be working on forecasting for next year’s classes.  Our goal is to create balanced classrooms by gender, academic level, personality, and many other factors.  Classes that are not adequately balanced result in unsatisfactory learning conditions for students and teachers alike.  This process requires input from multiple sources.  If your child has specific learning needs which you would like us to consider when placing your child, you may submit an Environmental Preference Form to the school office.  The form is attached and also available in the school office.  Please n

Growth Mindset

At school we are continuing to focus on helping our students develop a Growth Mindset.  One of the important concepts of a Growth Mindset is to see mistakes and failures as opportunities for learning and improvement.  Adults can support development of a Growth Mindset by responding purposefully when a child faces a roadblock.  For example, try saying:

Annual Parent Survey

Our annual parent survey is now available to parents.  Each year we gather input from parents and families on your experiences at Redland Elementary and the strategies we use to support students and families here at school.  This anonymous feedback is important to the School Improvement Team as we review our programs and plan for the future.  Please take 5-10 minutes to share your feedback with us.  Paper surveys are available in the office upon request.  This survey will close on Feb 18th, 2016.

Redland Yearbooks Now on Sale

The Redland Yearbook is now on sale.   From now until Feb 28th, 2018 prices are $12.50; after that time Yearbooks will be $15.  Checks should be made out to the Redland PTA.  The final day to order is 2pm on April 28th.  Every year we have students who are disappointed not to have a yearbook; we encourage you to order as soon as possible.  Yearbooks are also ready for purchase online at:  www.community.pictavo.com  You can purchase yearbooks, 5th grade messages, and upload photos for possible use in the yearbook.  He
